Disclaimer

This page sets out what BimaHaq is, what it is not, and what you can and cannot rely on us for. Every other page on this site links here, so it is written to be read on its own.

The disclaimer in full

BimaHaq is an insurance claims review, claim audit, grievance-drafting, and online dispute resolution (ODR) platform. We help you review policies, audit and pursue insurance claims, draft grievances, and resolve disputes through mediation, and we run our Rights Club and Insurance Updates content. We are an independent platform — not an insurance company, broker, or IRDAI-licensed agent — and we do not sell insurance. BimaHaq is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent policyholders before Consumer Commissions; using BimaHaq creates no advocate–client relationship. Where legal representation is needed, it is provided by independent advocates whom you engage directly. No outcome is guaranteed; we provide expert operational support based on the merits of your matter. All AI-assisted drafts are human-reviewed.

We are not an insurance company, a broker or an agent

BimaHaq does not sell, underwrite or administer insurance, and we are not licensed by the IRDAI to do so. We do not act for any insurer. We are an independent platform paid by you, the policyholder — which is why we are able to tell you when a claim is not worth pursuing.

We are not a law firm

BimaHaq does not practise law, does not give legal advice, and does not represent policyholders before Consumer Commissions. Using this site, reading our guides, or buying a claim review or a strategy note creates no advocate–client relationship with BimaHaq.

Our team is made up of claims specialists and former insurance-industry professionals. Where a matter genuinely needs a lawyer, it is handled by an independent advocate, and we say so on that service's own page.

The advocate services are the exception, and they work differently

On our advocate legal-notice tiers an independent advocate empanelled with BimaHaq is engaged through us to author and sign your notice. That advocate acts for you and is professionally accountable for the notice and for the legal advice in it. Those pages carry their own disclaimer, which replaces the one above:

BimaHaq is an insurance claims review, claim audit, grievance-drafting, and online dispute resolution (ODR) platform. We are an independent platform — not an insurance company, broker, or IRDAI-licensed agent — and we do not sell insurance. BimaHaq is not a law firm, does not itself practise law, and does not represent policyholders before Consumer Commissions. On the advocate legal-notice tiers, an independent advocate empanelled with BimaHaq is engaged through us to author and sign your notice: that advocate acts for you and is professionally accountable for the notice and for the legal advice in it. Our fee is a fixed professional fee — never a share of your claim — and no outcome is guaranteed. All AI-assisted material is advisory only and human-reviewed; your advocate remains the author of your notice.

No outcome is guaranteed

Nobody can promise you that a rejected claim will be paid. What we can do is tell you honestly whether your claim looks worth pursuing, on what grounds and by which route — and then help you take that route properly. Our fees are fixed and published. We never take a share of your claim, and no fee of ours depends on your result.

Our guides are general information, not advice on your claim

The guides, the law library and the answers on this site describe how insurance grievance redressal works in India in general. They are not advice about your particular policy or your particular claim, and policies differ in ways that matter. Where a page cites a regulation, a circular or a judgment, we name it so you can read the source yourself.

We keep this content current and correct it when it is wrong, but we cannot promise that every page reflects the law as at the moment you read it. If a page contradicts your policy document or an official source, the official source is right.

Where AI is involved

Some drafts on this platform are prepared with AI assistance. No AI-generated material reaches you without a human reviewing and approving it first, an AI never decides whether your claim succeeds, and an AI is never the author of a legal notice. Where a figure is given for what your claim might be worth, a human expert produced it, and it is an estimate rather than a promise.

Links to other sites

We link to insurers, the Insurance Ombudsman, Bima Bharosa, e-Jagriti and other official portals so that you can act on what you have read. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.
