These terms are the agreement between you and BimaHaq for your use of our website and services. By creating an account, buying a service, or otherwise using BimaHaq, you accept these terms. They are written in plain English. Where you buy a specific paid service, the engagement letter and the service-specific terms for that service also apply and, if they conflict with these general terms, the service-specific terms prevail.
Who we are and what we are not
BimaHaq is an insurance claims review, claim audit, grievance-drafting, and online dispute resolution (ODR) platform. We help you review policies, audit and pursue insurance claims, draft grievances, and resolve disputes through mediation, and we run our Rights Club and Insurance Updates content.
We are an independent platform — not an insurance company, broker, or IRDAI-licensed agent — and we do not sell, distribute, or advise on the purchase of insurance products, nor do we earn commissions from insurers. BimaHaq is currently run as a sole proprietorship operating from WeWork Rajeha Woods, 1st to 5th, BLD No. 8, Sr. No. 222/1, Central Avenue, Kalyani Nagar, Pune – 411006.
Who may use BimaHaq
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract under Indian law. If you use BimaHaq on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation to these terms.
What we do
Depending on what you choose, we may: review your policy and flag gaps; audit claim files; draft grievances and representations; help you pursue a claim with your insurer, the IRDAI Bima Bharosa platform, the Insurance Ombudsman, or a consumer forum; run online dispute resolution / mediation; and provide our Rights Club membership, Insurance Updates content, and Academy courses. Each paid service is defined by its own service-specific terms and engagement letter.
Your account and acceptable use
Keep your login details secure and give us accurate, genuine information — decisions about your matter depend on it. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You may read our content, use our free tools, and submit your details for review. You may not scrape, crawl, copy, resell, or republish our content or data; probe or bypass our security; upload malware or unlawful content; impersonate anyone; or submit false or misleading information. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the law.
Engagement and fees
When you buy a paid service, the engagement letter and service-specific terms for that service govern the work, deliverables, timelines, and fees. Payments are collected securely through our payment processor (Razorpay); we do not store your full card or bank details.
We are not currently GST-registered (our turnover is below the registration threshold), so GST is not added to our fees; if we become GST-registered, GST will apply as required by law. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
No guarantee of outcome
We work hard and use our best professional judgement, but insurance outcomes depend on the policy terms, the evidence, and the decisions of insurers and regulators. We do not guarantee that a claim will be paid, that an insurer will agree, or that a regulator or forum will rule a particular way. We explain the realistic range of outcomes for your matter.
AI is human-reviewed; this is not legal advice
We use AI tools to assist drafting and research, but every AI-assisted output is reviewed by a qualified person before it reaches you, and AI does not make decisions on your case. Our general content (blog, FAQ, landing pages) is information, not legal advice for your specific facts. See our Disclaimer for the full position.
Intellectual property
The BimaHaq name, logo, website, content, tools, and templates are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own claim or engagement. Deliverables we prepare for you are for your own use in your matter and may not be resold or redistributed.
Third-party links and services
Our site may link to third parties (for example, the IRDAI Bima Bharosa portal or a payment gateway). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices; your use of them is subject to their terms.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any service is capped at the fees you paid us for that service, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for outcomes outside our control (such as an insurer's or regulator's decision). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our services or the law change. We will post the updated terms here with a new 'last updated' date; significant changes will be highlighted. Continuing to use BimaHaq after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Complaints, governing law, and jurisdiction
If something goes wrong, please use our Grievance Redressal process first — we aim to resolve complaints quickly, and we are open to mediation under the Mediation Act 2023. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and, subject to any applicable consumer-protection rights you have, the courts at Pune, Maharashtra have jurisdiction. For any question about these terms, write to info@bimahaq.com.
